Why shouldn’t tobacco be consumed with cannabis?

Tobacco is inherently harmful, and the concurrent use of tobacco and cannabis has been linked to the development of dependence on either substance, adverse mental health outcomes, engagement in other risk-taking behaviours, and greater difficulty in ceasing cannabis use. Evidence suggests that combining tobacco with cannabis may also lead to the initiation of smoking. Moreover, the use of both substances may pose increased health risks compared to using either one alone, particularly affecting the respiratory system.
